Privacy Policy
This is a placeholder. The final policy will explain what personal data Keynate collects, why, how long it is kept, who it is shared with, and how you can exercise your rights, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we expect to cover
- Account data from Google sign-in (name, email address, profile picture).
- Billing and tax details needed to invoice you.
- Data stored on your own server by your website and apps (you control it).
- Cookies used to keep you signed in and to protect forms.
- How to contact us and our grievance officer.
Social media connections
When a publisher connects Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, YouTube or Pinterest, we store the page or account id, display name and an access token. Tokens are encrypted and kept on the publisher’s own server; Keynate’s connection broker does not keep readable tokens. We use this data only to publish the publisher’s articles to their accounts. It is kept until the publisher disconnects the channel or closes the website, then deleted. To revoke access, disconnect in News admin (Social, Channels) or remove the Keynate app in the platform’s settings (Facebook/Instagram Business integrations, Threads Website permissions, LinkedIn Permitted services, Google Third-party access, Pinterest Apps). See how to delete your data.
Push notifications
Publishers’ apps deliver notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) and Apple Push Notification service. Device tokens are stored on the publisher’s own server and used only to send that publisher’s notifications. Readers can turn notifications off in the app or device settings, which stops delivery.
